why am i so afraid of school shootings?

idk why but i have a massive fear of school shootings. i dont like thinking abt them, but when i do, i feel somewhat sick. my stomach starts hurting and theres nothing i can do to stop it. and i live in NJ, which nevr had any sort of school shootings at all i think. i even dreamed abt it; me being shot by someone and just falling. im scared to go to school now. can someone help me w/ this?
