This is a sad situation. The first thing you might want to try doing is talking to your dad or parents about what exactly that means. What treatments is he going to get? What do the doctors say is going to happen? How can you be supportive/helpful in this situation? Just remember that they are going through this as well, so it may be hard for them to discuss options. Write down questions you have so you don't forget them and ask them if you can talk about what's going on.
