  • Need some help

Hello! My younger sister has a birthmark on her face and is bullied quite badly because of it. Which way of removing it is the most safe? And is it a legal thing to do for a 12-year-old?

I am sorry to hear that she is being bullied. She can definitely tell someone at school about the bullying and you can also visit a website called Bully Stoppers @ http://www.bullystoppers.com/ to get support. As far as removing it, you would have to ask a medical doctor and she would have to get consent from your parents. Talk to your parents and make an appt. with your primary doctor and he or she can refer you to a specialist. Good Luck and if you want to talk about this or anything else call 2NDFLOOR at 888-222-2228, we are open 24/7, or text us daily from 4-8PM.

      I'm clueless

I am 17 years old, my parents are divorced, my mother is bipolar and when she drinks it does not help it whatsoever, my dad is a great guy but he just won't stop pressuring me into joining the military after highschool and he keeps stressing me out over college telling me "you have to have a plan" I have plans I just can't talk to him about them because he always shoots them down if they aren't to his specific idea of what a good plan is. They both stress me out beyond belief and I have been trying to keep my head together for this long but I keep feeling as if I'm about to crack and do something I will regret and that scares me. I don't know what to do to help fix the issue, I stay calm and try and keep calm about what's happening and it has become less and less effective. I want to go somewhere I can be away and out of the stress but I have nowhere to go and I don't know what to do.

I understand how stressed out you must be. You 100% need some type of support. It is obviously not going to be from your parents right now so we need to think of some other adults in your life that can help you...especially before you become way to overwhelmed. Have you reached out to your guidance counselor, school psychologist, or social worker at school for support with this issue? Your situation would be a good example of why these people are available at school. Is there another family member in your life like an aunt, uncle, grandparent, cousin? Or even...a family friend, or friend's parents? If you could find at least 1 other person who can somehow help you-even if it's not with this whole college things right now, but for your mental health in the situation- that would be your best bet. If all else fails, please reach out to us here at the 2NDFLOOR Youth Helpline and one of our phone counselors can help guide you in a direction. We are here 24/7 at 888-222-2228. You can also text us daily at this number between 4pm and 8pm. Again, please reach out to a person in your life for some sort of support. You don't have to be alone in this.
