  • Huh??? What???? Repeat that? :/

    Hi wonderful people!!
Ok..... So, I know that this is not a health line, but I am asking based on a personal experiance and your already known knowledge. I listen to music nearly everyday using earbuds, but I keep it at the lowest volume. My dad says that is OK, because I made him listen to music the way I do, and he said that is fine. Can any damage occur? Am I at risk?? Any advice to break the habit of listening to music everyday? Also tell me ways to not overthink about my health, because I realized I focus all my energy on my body, thinking that there is a problem, and I get so scared and nervous, having the urge to cut, and then awhile, nothing happens. Should I be worried or should I put my mind on ease? I always have this where I have the fear to be sick or ill, and I have an overactive imagination thinking that I might need to go to the doctor or have a major problem, my parents tell it is because of overthinking. Sorry to sound disrespectful, I dont mean to be, but, I AM NOT GOING TO THE AUDIOLOGIST! So please dont include that in your response. I am really worried, and I have the urge to cut, not to mention 2nd floor had saved my life from cutting, so thank you . I really depend on this, and this is what I am doing right now. PLEASE make your response worthy and strong enough make me forget about this problem.

So no question is silly or stupid if you are worried about it. You should go to your primary doctor for a physical and get an annual work up. If your doctor notices anything irregular, then they can send you to a specialist. That is the simplest way to put your mind at ease.
Here are some health websites for youth so check them out at http://kidshealth.org/teen/ and http://www.teenhealthfx.com/, both of these sites are very informative. I do not think that listening to music will affect your permanent hearing, but I am not a doctor, however, if you listen to music extremely loud it will affect your hearing. So good luck and I hope this has helped. Call 2NDFLOOR anytime at 888-222-2228 if you need further assistance.
