  • Inaffective behavior from grandparents arguing

My grandparents started arguing for fourth time today. Yelling and screaming at each other. Which led to me banging my head into the wall, Slamming my door several times, and getting a fork and scratching myself with it. My grandparents knew this was happening but they refuse to take me to the hospital to get screened or evaluated. I don't know what to do now. The reason why they refuse to get me screened is because in the past year and this year I have been screened at the hospital six times and hospitalized five times. What should I do?

It sounds like you are overwhelmed by your grandparents conflict; it will be helpful to you to let them know how you feel when they argue in your presence. Hurting yourself is never the answer. Please know that cutting or self-injury of any kind is never an appropriate solution to any problem. Check out the websites: http://www.selfinjury.com/ or http://butterfly-project.tumblr.com/
