I was texting someone through a friends phone and asked them to please stop talking to me to my friend that person told me "I never said anything go die" and now I'm scared.

There doesn't sound like a reason to be scared. This person didn't threaten you...they just made a really rude comment. Also, did the person even say anything? It sounds like you just randomly texted this person to stop talking to you so maybe they responded that way because they were feeling defensive. You shouldn't worry too much about this.
