It can be very difficult to make friends, but you need to give yourself a chance. All you need to do is be yourself and show people how wonderful of a person you are and they will want to be your friend. A lot of times teens make friends by doing different extracurricular activities. By doing one or more of these activities you surround yourself with a group of people who have the same interests as you and it is a great way to met new people and start a friendship. The first day of school there will be other people that are probably new there too. Just say hello and smile or ask if you can join a table. If you do encounter someone who is not nice to you ask a teacher for help. Maybe they can also introduce you to other people that have similar interests. If you have a sibling you might want to hang out with them and their friends for support. Please feel free to call 2NDFLOOR anytime to discuss this issue at 1-888-222-2228 or text us any day from 4pm to 8pm at (908) 280-0235. Good luck, and be yourself.
