My boyfriend is in p.o he been in p.o for 5 years for. Substance abusse. Alcohol. And for selling substance he been good for this 5 years he almost done this summer but since 2 months he was taking pain pills to feel happy cause he feel stressed about p.o and everything but since a week he wanted to stop but he couldn't so he went to a psychology without asking he's p.o officer and they send him to a rehab center. But I just want to know would he get in trouble now with his p.o ? What gonna happened?

Thank you for reaching out to 2ndFloor. I can understand how worried you are about your boyfriend. I'm glad that he is getting the help that he needs now. Unfortunately I don't know all of the laws in NJ. Since I am aware that you are not supposed to be in possession of a controlled substance and you usually have to take a drug test, this could affect his release time. However, since he is seeking help they may not go as hard on him. I would recommend going to the state website for more information or contacting a lawyer who is able to give you a more educated opinion on the subject.
