so im bi and my family situation is a mess. my mom is homophobic and im not close to my dad or brother, so i was thinking of coming out to my sister. but the thing is, my sister is stressed with keeping her grades up, prom, and graduation. and im worried my parents will overhear me coming out since the house walls are thin. i feel kind of selfish but i really have this urge to come out and i really need to let it off my chest, and not just here but to my family/someone close to me.

Coming out is a personal choice so whenever you feel comfortable to do it, do it and you are not selfish that you want to share this with your family. Now you can't control how your parents may react so just prepare yourself for a positive or a negative reaction and then if you are okay with that, go for it.
