  • Enough of this

    Hi 2nd Floor,

I have been so stressed lately. i haven't been able to get any work done. I will probably fail every class this marking period. I will still pass if i do because i got honor roll all of the other marking periods.
Anyway, i score 95 to 100 on basically EVERY test. i hate my teachers and their pointless worksheets and notes. They are always yelling at me to take notes even though it is in my IEP that i don't have to. I do not take the notes ever but i still score high.
My grades are being brought down because of the worksheets and notes that i will not do because the condition of my mental illness has become worse this month due to the stress of coming out as pan-sexual.
My mind has been flying. I can't focus as you can see that because i have gotten off track like, 3 times.
I want to know if there is a way that i can go through high school without worksheets. Just learning things and getting tested. I really hate this place and i can comprehend things fast so that i don't need to take multiple months on one topic.
If there is something like this, i don't want it, i need it. i am going crazy at this school.

PS, i am the one who wrote Biology Teacher

Hi and thank you for your post! I understand how stressful this situation is for you. I think it is really important to discuss this with your case manager since they have control of your IEP. This can result in your case manager having a discussion with your teachers to help solve the problem. Your IEP is a legal document and it must be followed accordingly. If you have any other questions please call us at 2ndFloor Youth Helpline at 1-888-222-2228.

      I know but...

I know but is there a way i can get my diploma with just learning and testing. I catch on fast. If i dont catch on one subject, they would just have to explain it more in depth. Is there some kind of program i can do?

Hello again!! Yes there are other options out there, but it may not be the best option for you. As it stated in the previous reply your IEP is a legal document and it important that it is being followed. You should discuss your concerns with your parents and your case manager. If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to call us at 1-888-222-2228. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
