So the problem isn't that I'm scared of using tampons, because I have several times. My problem is that my period isn't exactly regular every month. It always happens around the 17-20th of the month. I'm going to the beach on the 17th and I don't want to get my period while I'm at the beach without knowing. I know you can't use a tampon if you're not on your period, so what would be a good way to be safe that I won't bleed through my bathing suit without knowing?

It is normal that periods fluctuate every month. A lot of girls have this problem over the summer. It is helpful to bring tampons with you (keep them in your beach bag or wallet), just in case. You can also go to the bathroom to check as often as you want. You can even use a panty liner, which is a really thin pad. If you do get it, it'll buy you some time in case you aren't near the bathroom. You may even want to wear shorts or a skirt, just in case. Also, it would be helpful to ask some of your girlfriends for advice if they have been in similar situations before. Please call 2NDFLOOR anytime at 888-222-2228 for more help!
