    Is it normal to think about suicide while recovering from depression and PTSD?

    Suicide is something that should be taken very seriously. Thoughts of suicide may be more common during recovery of depression and PTSD, however, it is important to reach out to a professional and discuss these thoughts. A great resource is the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline http://www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ They have a great website, but also other resources such as a helpline and a chat line, with professionals on suicide prevention. If you would like to discuss this more with 2ndFloor Youth Helpline call us anytime we are here 24/7 at 888-222-2228. We are also now doing texting every Friday from 4-8 at 908-280-0235.
