  • Don't want to be friends anymore

So I know this girls since I was in preschool and we have been friends since. But recently she has been on top of me. Not literally but like she will follow where ever I go and do exactly what I do and it's annoying.also, I only told this one girl in my school who I have liked and it wasn't her but she insisted on knowing so the girl I told told her and she still doesn't get that I am mad at her. We have in eighth grade a school trip out of state And she wants to be in my room but I don't really want her. What do I do?

It's ok to be honest with someone, without being hurtful to them or their feelings. For example, you can tell someone that you need a little more space than they are giving you. You can tell someone that you want to be left alone for awhile. You can even tell someone that you have plans to room with someone else. The trick is to be honestly firm without being hurtful. Now saying these things may hurt someone's feelings if they enjoy spending time with you, but you have to do what is right for you. Just like you would not date someone that asked you out just to spare their feelings from being hurt, the same is true of friendships. It's ok to be honest with her, just try to do it in a way that isn't too hurtful to her. Call us anytime at 888-222-2228.
